Dr. Sami Jabarkhail is a distinguished honor graduate of Texas A&M university in College Station, Texas. As a Fulbright scholar, Dr. Jabarkhail completed his PhD in human resource development (HRD). His research interests focus on national human resource development, the role of culture in development, refugees’ development, and leadership development. Dr. Jabarkhail’s has extensive professional experience in program design and project management. Additionally, Dr. Jabarkhail’s career has been shaped by extensive international exposure through living, working, learning, and researching across diverse contexts. Before pursuing his studies in the United States, Dr. Jabarkhail served as Director of the Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program at the American Councils for International Education (ACIE) in Afghanistan and represented the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) in the region. During his time at ACIE and AUCA, he facilitated the enrollment of hundreds of Afghan girls and boys from diverse backgrounds in American high schools as well as American universities. In 2014, Dr. Jabarkhail represented Afghanistan as a delegate at the NATO Future Leaders Summit.
