Koyel Khan is currently an Instructional Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and the Women’s and Gender Studies program. She received her PhD from the University of Connecticut, with graduate certificates in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; and, Human Rights. Her teaching focus is on gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, globalization, among others. Her teaching is informed by nonwestern global perspectives and reflects her deep orientation towards social justice.
